Getting Started with Lingnan Scholars
Lingnan Scholars is the intergrated Research Information Management System (RIMS) to capture all research-related Information as the Single Source of Truth to reflect University’s research landscape
This Getting Started Guide will provide you with some basic information you need to know to manage your profile in Lingnan Scholars.

For Eligible Lingnan Users, please go to https://scholars.ln.edu.hk/admin/workspace.xhtml for log in to Lingnan Scholars.
After successful login, your Research Profile (Admin Page) will be displayed like this:

Personal Identification – details are all auto-populated from Banner. You can ADD the following supplementary details:

- Known as name

- Fill in Researcher / SCOPUS / ORCID ID if not listed

Basic information (if any) would be auto- populated, based on details found from your departmental webpage or other relevant sources. You can Edit / Update your details as deemed necessary.
Organization affiliations (Employment history @ Lingnan)
Your full employment history @ Lingnan will be loaded and displayed as follows:

B: Research Outputs (Publications)
Click “Research Outputs” will display a list of your publications registered in your Lingnan Scholars profile:
Research Outputs Validation
All research outputs are subject to validation by Library. Only Validated outputs would be visible to public on your profile.
New Publications - ongoing data harvesting is in place to import data of your new scholarly publications. You are expected to enter other outputs in Lingnan Scholars that fall outside our harvesting scope manually, e.g. conference contribution, other specialized reports, non-textual outputs, etc.

C: Activities
Data unders “Activities” are all subject to validation by ORS.
Staff can enter the details of your activities, preferbaly with with extra information (with document-proof) for review / validation in Lingnan Scholars
D: Impact Metrics (Researcher)
Data unders “Activities” are all subject to validation by ORS.
Based upon data from Research Outputs, PlumX would capture and consolidate metrics gathered from different platforms for review.
