ORCID and Privacy

ORCID takes serious measure to ensure privacy and data security.  ORCID records hold non-sensitive information such as name, organization and research activities. Only record holders or their assigned delegates can modify a record and to define the level of privacy setting.

ORCID offers three privacy settings for all data recorded in your ORCID record:

1. Public / Everyone  : Viewable by anyone.
2. Trusted Parties  : Viewable by you, your delegates, and “trusted parties” that you have authorized to connect to your ORCID record.  
   (By registering your ORCID iD with Lingnan, you are making Lingnan as a trusted parties).
3. Private  : Viewable by you and your delegates only.
